Story
Get to Know Us
From her studio in Jerusalem, with a garden view, and a view of the Jerusalem hills that surround her, American-Israeli painter Ilana Shalom enjoys her time painting and creating abstract and visual portrayal of Jewish Life through her creative vision of spiritual expressionism. Her work, primarily in oil on canvas, fuses portraiture with abstract realism- connecting art and creativity with spirituality.
After developing her talent throughout her youth, where Ilana studied at The Art Institute of Houston and through mentorships with various artists, and early explorations in watercolor and wearable art, she found her true medium in the rich textures of oil paint, crafting spiritually inspired meaningful abstract art.
Through her works, Ilana provides a unique lens on a world that intertwines spiritual influence with a contemporary aesthetic. The paintings have been exhibited in galleries in Israel and the United States and are included in numerous private collections. Her art portrays a modern perspective on spirituality and tradition, reflecting her profound connection to the Torah, the Jewish people, Jerusalem, and the Land of Israel.
This website, created by her son Nitai, is a way to showcases her amazing work and share that vision directly with you, and we are delighted you enjoy the unique vision of this artistic expression and your interest in owning or printing a piece.
